Building the commerce OS for African retail.
Coconut Platforms Limited is a subsidiary of OpenCrate Limited, headquartered in Lagos. We make the software African brands deserve — calm, capable, and commercially serious.
Our mission
African retail brands punch above their weight. They sell to customers across continents from Instagram DMs and WhatsApp groups, manage logistics in spreadsheets, and chase payments across three apps. The talent is here. The tooling is not.
Coconut exists to change that. We're building one platform — storefront, social commerce, channel sync, shipping, and stablecoin-powered payments — designed specifically for the way African brands actually trade. The goal is simple: make running a brand boringly easy so founders can focus on the parts only they can do.
Coconut Platforms Limited is incorporated in Nigeria and operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of OpenCrate Limited, a venture studio building infrastructure for emerging-market commerce.

How we build.
Made for the merchant
Every feature ships only after we sit with real African brand owners. No theory, no guesswork.
Quietly premium
We don't shout. We build software that feels like it costs three times what it does.
Speed as a feature
Fast pages, fast onboarding, instant payouts. The merchant's time is the product.
